Roel Orsel

VP of Research and Development and Chief Technology Officer

Roel Orsel and his team are responsible for new product development and optimization including product formulation, raw material management, packaging technology and more. 

Roel joined CSM in 2006 from Kerry Group, working as R&D Director for the Kerry Bio-Science Division, responsible for innovation, product development, continuous improvement, regulatory & specifications.

Prior to the sale of the Food Ingredients Division of Quest International to Kerry Group, he held product development and research roles at Quest International, which included the responsibility of  bio-processing, hydrocolloids, emulsifiers, proteins, enzymes,  yeast, food  physics, flavor encapsulation and flavor delivery.

Roel started his professional career at the Flour, Cereals and Bread Institute of TNO Food and Nutrition Research.

Roel holds a degree in Food Science from Wageningen University (NLD).
