Thomas TanckVP, Traditional Trade Europe
Thomas Tanck and his team are responsible for serving our customers in the European traditional trade channels such as artisanal bakeries, patisseries and local foodservice operations, providing product and service solutions to drive the success of these customers.
Prior to this role, Thomas was the Market Director and Country Manager of our German Business, responsible for all channels and marketing. He was instrumental in turning around the traditional trade channel and starting new business in modern trade.
Thomas joined CSM in 2012 after more than 20 years in Kraft Foods and The Coca-Cola Company with his most recent position as Marketing Manager Sprite and Emerging Brands in the Central Europe & Eurasia Division of The Coca-Cola Company.
He has held leadership positions in marketing, strategy and sales with increasing responsibility. Thomas has a broad international business experience in several major food and beverage categories such as coffee, cheese, chocolate, soft drinks and convenience meals. As Category Director, European Chocolate at Kraft, Thomas was awarded for his significant contributions to turnaround the European chocolate business and the stewardship of the Milka brand.
Thomas earned a Diplom-Kaufmann diploma in European Business Studies at Fachhochschule Osnabrück , Germany and Ecole Supérieure de Commerce in Clermont-Ferrand, France.
