James Mayer

VP, Customer Solutions – North America

James and his team are responsible for delivering exceptional customer service, predicting customer demand and improving business processes.

James joined CSM in 2016 to lead our global portfolio simplification initiative. While in this role, he successfully reduced our portfolio by 15%, transitioning to a smaller, more profitable mix.

Prior to joining CSM, James was Senior Director and Head of Intercontinental Solutions at CHEP, a Brambles company. As a member of the CHEP Containers Executive Leadership Team, his primary responsibilities included establishing a global start-up organization, winning new customers and establishing foundations for profitable growth.

During the 11 years leading up to his senior director assignment, James held roles of increasing responsibility in the areas of account management, customer solutions, salesforce effectiveness and revenue growth at companies that included RCL Ltd, Microlease and Recall.

James grew up in England and gained his BSc Hons degree in Land Management from the University of Reading.
